Leonardo Perez, Jr., MS, RD, CD, is the Co-Owner and Registered Dietitian of Nomadiq RD, where he leads the practice’s clinical nutrition services and Medical Nutrition Therapy.
Leo’s professional path did not begin in nutrition. He first studied aviation technology before turning his attention to health and nutrition, ultimately earning a BS in Nutritional Sciences/Dietetics and an MS in Nutritional Sciences/Dietetics Research from Oklahoma State University.
His career has included acute-care clinical nutrition, skilled nursing and long-term care, telehealth counseling, and public health. At Oklahoma State University, Leo worked with the CDC-funded High Obesity Program and later served as Program Coordinator for work across 10 rural Oklahoma counties. That experience strengthened his interest in community partnerships, food access, prevention, and the many factors beyond food alone that influence health.
After relocating to Milwaukee, Leo and Chris co-founded Nomadiq RD in 2026. Leo’s approach to care is evidence-based and individualized, with an emphasis on practical, sustainable changes that fit each client’s medical needs, preferences, routines, and goals rather than one-size-fits-all diets.
Outside of work, Leo loves nature, travel, exploring new places, and photography — especially travel photography — as well as spending time with the people and animals he loves most.
For Leo, nutrition should support a full life, not make life smaller. Through Nomadiq RD, his goal is to help clients better understand their health and build an approach to nutrition they can carry with them wherever life takes them.
